Scaffold is usually £600–£1,500 on a domestic job and is quoted separately more often than not — worth checking which you have been given.
What the finishes cost, and what you get
Sand and cement is the cheapest and it needs painting, then repainting every eight to twelve years. It is also the least forgiving on a solid wall, because it does not breathe.
Monocouche is a through-coloured single-coat system. Mid-price, no painting, good durability.
Silicone render is the top of the range. Through-coloured so it never needs repainting, flexible enough to resist the hairline cracking that plagues cement, and breathable — which on a solid stone or brick wall is not a luxury.
Why patch repairs rarely match
A patch is cheap and it is often the right call structurally. What it will not do is disappear. New render against weathered render is visible from the street for years, and through-coloured systems are harder to match than painted ones.
If the elevation is more than about a quarter gone, doing the whole face is usually the better spend.
The part that gets missed
Find out why it failed before quoting to replace it. Render very rarely just gives up. It blows because water got behind it — a gutter overflowing above, a missing bead, a cracked sill, a bridged cavity. Re-rendering over an unsolved leak buys a few years and the same bill again.
Any quote that does not mention the cause is a quote for the symptom.

How much do renderers charge per m2?
£45 to £85 per square metre in the UK for a full elevation, before scaffold. Sand and cement sits at the bottom of that range, monocouche in the middle, and through-coloured silicone at the top — the silicone costs more up front and never needs repainting.
How much to render a 3 bedroom house?
£5,000 to £10,000 for all elevations including scaffold, depending on the finish and the access. A single elevation is usually £1,500 to £3,000. If the existing render has to come off first, add to that.
Is it cheaper to paint or render a house?
Painting is far cheaper up front — £1,500 to £4,500 against £5,000 to £10,000 — but it needs redoing every eight to twelve years. A silicone render holds its colour for decades. Over thirty years the render is usually the cheaper of the two, and it does more for the wall.
Is house rendering worth the cost?
On a wall that is letting water in, yes — render is doing a job there, not a decoration. On a sound stone elevation that was never meant to be covered, it is a harder case to make and worth thinking about slowly, because it is close to irreversible.
